A resident of Cobb County, Georgia, John is married and has lived in the South approximately 20 years. In addition to his experience as a licensed Realtor© he also has considerable experience as a private real estate investor. In this capacity he has bought, sold and managed multi- and single-family residential properties; and handled all aspects of investment in Fulton County real estate including Atlanta Georgia real estate strategies, financial analysis, Fulton County property management and marketing.
An avid sports fan, John enjoys golf, deep-sea fishing, and cheering his wife on at amateur tennis matches. Both are avid Braves fan and attend games whenever business and family matters permit. And thanks to a robust baritone, he sings with the men’s choir of his church whenever possible. The kids are grown and out of the house, but there’s still a “big kid in residence” named Cody. She’s a 10-year-old collie mix but don’t tell her she’s not one of the kids; she won’t believe you.

Even through the softening of the real estate market, Atlanta continues to thrive as the city undergoes constant improvements. Plans have been made for the area’s first ever transportation plan and a commuter train that services surrounding counties. And the newly founded Regional Arts & Culture Leadership Alliance plans a local renaissance for the artistic scene that is already rich in both museums and local artists.
People continue to flock to Atlanta, indicated by a 12% surge in population between 2000 and 2004, making the city the 9th most populated in the United States. The Atlanta-Fulton County region boasts a healthy job market that is expected to grow by 12,500 jobs each year until 2012, most of these jobs being in either the computer or medical field. The aforementioned factors contribute to Atlanta and Fulton County real estate’s ability to increase in average sales price by $25,000—to $350,000—from August 2005 to August 2006. As the real estate market softens, there are several luxurious new construction condos with a host of amenities available for a much lower price than their original value.
