Dallas, TX
Dallas has been influenced by the strong economic value of oil that is pumped daily out of the ground. There is a certain feel about the city that seems pleasant to most people. Along with a pleasant feel the city offers first-rate services to home owners and vacationers. Make sure that you understand that by moving to Dallas you are moving into an area where people like big city living. Dallas has a variety of professional sports teams that thousands of people go see around the year. One negative thing that comes from big city living and professional sports is the large amount of traffic that the events attract. Although traffic can be a problem investors can be reassured that they will not have to deal with the city traffic due to the various preconstruction real estate investments located downtown and around the event complexes. Even though Dallas is a big city it has a surprisingly cheap real estate market. Austin, TX
Being one of my favorite cities, Austin, is the home of the famous University of Texas. This is most definitely a college town with college attitude! One can experience an odd mix of the Wild West with the liberal attitudes of the college students just by walking the city streets of Austin. The town hosts many different famous music festivals along with some of the best college football that any state has to offer. Optimism reigns supreme in this town, spreading like wildfire people, when visiting this town, believe they are in a better place. Many college kids are looking for places to stay during the semesters they attend the University of Texas which makes for some great investment opportunities for investors that don’t mind renting out to college students. Houston, TX
Like Dallas, Houston, is a city that needs no introduction and is able to stand on its own merits. Most of those merits are based on the boom of the oil industry. When things are going well, Houston constantly expands and grows at incredible rates that allows for some really fantastic real estate investment opportunities. When the things are going bad for the state oil industry, the economy suffers and so do the people living in the area. The recent boom in the industry has led to a rise in demand for real estate in the city of Houston. Houston is not a personal favorite but certainly is a top ranking state in the US. All and all, Houston has some of the cheapest real estate to offer during its down time in the oil industry making it possible for investors to get the property for several thousands less then anywhere else. Then when the economy bounces back you can resell that for way more then the property is actually worth.
